My husband and I are considering the 10 x 12 Gentry to be professionaly built onsite (buying it from Lowes). We watched the videos on this website and they show site prep instructions. We are getting the Premium Package(upgraded floor, felt, drip edge) but not sure if this includes the foundation as shown on this site. If we need to purchase and prep the site ahead of time with 4 x 4′s, pea gravel, etc as shown, we need to know the placement. Also, if we get the Premium Package will the installers install this as well?
The person at Lowes did not have the answers to these questions.
All of our buildings when ordered with installation include the treated floor joists, treated 4×4 runners, 5/8” decking and installation of the building. If you order the Premium Package you get an upgrade to a pressure treated ¾” floor decking, roofing felt paper, aluminum drip edge and the labor warranty is extended to 10 years! In regards to the foundation prep – it is always wise to make sure the ground is as level as possible. Our installers do not excavate the land but rather build up below the 4×4’s using treated shims. We also offer a leveling block package if you would prefer that we bring concrete leveling blocks out to level up under the 4×4 runners.
Can you please send me the schematic for the 10′ x 12′ Gentry, item # 83287 showing where the masonry blocks need to be placed in relation to the 4×4 runners? We want to have our site prepped and leveled by the time the professional installers arrive. We live in the south so we have to get the wood off the ground.
Also you confirmed that the Premium Package includes the roofing felt paper, drip edge and our ad says it includes the shingles. Can we assume the installers install of this for us as well?
